Well, I have finished my PhD! Now that I am officially PhDone, I have been hired as an Instructor at the University of Arkansas and plan to continue in my role as a field researcher with the nest box system in Fayetteville for the time being. Since graduation, I have published the second chapter of my dissertation in the journal of Integrative and Comparative Biology. In the same issue, I was a coauthor on a collaborative paper from our SICB (Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology) symposium this previous January!

I am excited to continue in my role teaching at Arkansas, and the flexibility of the 9 month contract has allowed me to take on additional research roles. I am currently in the Northeastern US for the first time ever! (Had never been North of Southern Virginia before now!) I am assisting in the first field season of Dr. Erin Sauer's new lab at Rutgers! It has been really exciting to get in on the ground floor of another nest box system and help with the early planning and execution of how to do research in one. It can be complicated to keep up with a bunch of bird nesting! I'm staying in Jersey while Erin is out of town as a mercenary Principal Investigator for a few weeks! Loving life after grad school!
